As a part of Republic of Fighting, we are committed to providing our audience with high-quality, unbiased news and content about combat sports. We have established the following ethical guidelines to ensure that all content produced by our editorial staff, freelancers, and contributors maintains the highest standards of journalistic integrity.

Advertising and Revenue Partnerships

We maintain a clear separation between our editorial content and our advertising and revenue partnerships. Our business teams are responsible for selling advertising and editorial sponsorships, but they do not influence the content created by our editorial staff or contributors. Any editorial content that is made possible through the support of sponsors will be clearly labeled as such.

Conflicts of Interest, Activism, and Disclosures

Our editorial staff and contributors take conflicts of interest seriously and will recuse themselves from a story when appropriate. They will also publicly disclose any personal or financial relationships that could compromise their journalistic coverage. We do not allow our staff to demonstrate or donate to causes that could compromise their journalistic coverage of an issue.

Corrections, Updates, and Deletions

We make every effort to ensure that our content is accurate upon publication. If a correction is required, we are transparent and update the story if new information adds to or invalidates the original story. We may remove content from our websites, social media pages, or related platforms for legal reasons or extenuating circumstances, but we will never do so at the direction of our advertisers.

Racial Inclusion

At Republic of Fighting, we are committed to promoting racial inclusion and equality in all aspects of our organization. We understand the importance of diversity and representation in our staff, contributors, and content, and we strive to create a welcoming environment for individuals of all races and ethnicities.

We recognize that there are systemic inequalities that exist in our society and in the world of combat sports, and we are committed to taking action to combat these issues. This includes actively seeking out and supporting fighters, coaches, and staff from underrepresented communities, as well as providing opportunities for their voices to be heard through our platform.

We will not tolerate any form of discrimination or racism within our organization, and we expect all staff, contributors, and community members to adhere to our policies of inclusivity and respect. We are committed to fostering a culture of diversity and acceptance, and we will continue to prioritize racial inclusion in all of our operations.

To further our commitment to racial inclusion, we will:

• Proactively seek out and promote fighters, coaches, and staff from underrepresented communities.
• Work to ensure diversity and representation in our content, including featuring fighters from diverse backgrounds and covering issues related to racial inequality in combat sports.
• Provide education and training opportunities for our staff and contributors on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Foster a safe and welcoming environment for all community members, regardless of race or ethnicity.
• Partner with organizations that share our values and commitment to racial inclusion, and support initiatives that promote equality and combat discrimination in combat sports.

At Republic of Fighting, we believe that combat sports should be a space where everyone is welcome and respected, regardless of their race or ethnicity. We will continue to work towards this vision through our policies, actions, and content.

Sexual Discrimination

Sexual discrimination and harassment have no place in the sport of MMA. Republic of Fighting is committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all athletes, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. We do not tolerate any form of sexual discrimination or harassment, and we will take swift and appropriate action against anyone found to be engaging in such behavior.

We believe that every athlete has the right to compete without fear of discrimination or harassment, and we are committed to working with our athletes, coaches, and staff to ensure that our sport is free from these harmful behaviors. We encourage anyone who has experienced or witnessed sexual discrimination or harassment to report it to our team immediately so that we can take the necessary steps to address the issue.

Republic of Fighting is proud to be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, and we will continue to work towards greater inclusion and acceptance within our sport. We believe that by creating a culture of respect and equality, we can build a better and more inclusive world for all athletes.

Gifts and Giveaways

We do not accept gifts or other considerations from companies as a condition or incentive to write a review or story, whether favorable or unfavorable. We may accept tickets or press passes to events we are covering or reviewing, but we will not accept extra tickets for family or friends. We will disclose any such relationships to our audience.

Professional Appearances

Our staff and contributors are often asked to appear in a professional capacity as experts on various media programming. These appearances do not constitute an endorsement of any products, companies, or services discussed unless otherwise disclosed. We will disclose any compensation received for such appearances.

Social Media

We value the strong, expert voices of our editorial staff and contributors on social media, but we ask that they wield their voices with extra care, particularly when commenting on topics they cover. Our editorial guidelines leave no room for indulging in harassment on social media. If any Republic of Fighting employee is the recipient of harassment on social media, they should access and review our protocol for reporting online abuse.

Sourcing

We obtain news and content from a variety of sources. We grant anonymity when we know our sources to be credible and reliable, and that their stories would otherwise not be told. It is our policy not to pay sources.

We will always hold ourselves and our teammates to high standards and build an environment that cultivates passion, encourages collaboration, and respects all voices and identities.
